"Throughout the world, on any given day, a man, woman or child is likely to be displaced, tortured, killed or "disappeared", at the hands of governments or armed political groups. More often than not, the United States shares the blame."

Amnesty International, 1996

JUST A CO-INCIDENCE,
NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!

" Former Pakistani foreign secretary, Niaz Naik, said that he was told by senior American officials in MID-JULY that military action against Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban was planned before mid-October. The wider objective, Mr Naik said he was told, was to topple the Taliban regime and install a transitional government of Afghans in its place - possibly under the leadership of the former Afghan King Zahir Shah." - story posted on this site, September 19th.

"The former king of Afghanistan, Mohammad Zahir Shah, received a firm pledge of support from senior U.S. politicians on Sunday as he moved closer to forging a broad alliance against the Taliban regime in Kabul. 'We came away very much impressed,' said Republican Congressman Curt Weldon, 'We think that perhaps he is the person that can rally those against the Taliban most effectively, so he's a critical person.'" - news report, September 30th.

WELL, WELL,
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE CO-INCIDENCE!
ISN'T LIFE JUST AMAZING??
