I have received the following brief communication today and you must make
of it what you will. These two names have been given to me before from
other sources, especially Leon Brittain, the former minister in the
Thatcher government and now a major bureaucrat at the European Union.
I am not, however, accusing either of being involved in the child abuse
scandal at this North Wales children's home, just passing on this
communication for your information. If anyone can give me further
background I would be most grateful.

A few years ago I was working at a North Wales College and one of the
students who had worked at the Bryn Estyn home told me that when he was a
worker at the home, that two of the visitors were - Leon Britain, the MEP,
and the Duke of Westminster. There were rumours about their involvement in
child abuse. When he brought his suspicions to the supervisor's attention
he was told to 'let it go and say nothing'. This was about the time that
the story broke and he was afraid! I have no reason to doubt his account -
it makes you think!
