A MATCH MADE IN....??

THE BUSH BABE WHO DAZZLED THE PRINCE PERCHED sexily on a bar stool, Lauren bush proudly shows off the looks that caught Prince William's eye.

The 16-year old Texan model, the niece of American President George Bush, is still keeping tight-lipped about the Prince, with whom she is said to have exchanged flirty e-mails.

But in an interview with Tatler magazine, she tells of her relationship with Uncle "Dubya". Lauren-the new face of fashion emporium Tommy Hilfiger - says: "He's very funny, loud and quick-witted, like my grandfather. They're both very humorous."

She says he let her work on his election campaign as part of a school project…but she still struggled to get a good grade.

Lauren, whose father Neil is George Bush's younger brother, remembers sliding down the Whit House banisters as a child and "going on the rampage."

She says she is close to her grandparents, George Snr and his wife Barbara. "But a lot of things I could do would shock them. My cousin dyed his hair once and my grandmother made him cut it off."

So will she follow her grandfather and uncle into politics? Apparently not. "I love the fashion world," she says. Lauren first caught William's attention when she left a photo of herself aboard the 400ft mini-liner Alexander, nicknamed the "Love Boat", after discovering that he and Prince Charles were the next guests of Greek shipping tycoon John Latsis.

William found the print and sent her a picture of himself.

The June issue of Tatler is on sale on Thursday.
