This is another one of those Curiosities & Unusual Tidbits from Aralian
again:
I decided to go to the University Library to do my own research on the
reptiles, thinking, "Know your enemy" right? So I looked up Herpetology (the
study of reptiles) and decided to browse a few books on 'recorded' lizards,
maybe to find out something interesting, and as I was going through the
collection of the JOURNAL OF HERPETOLOGY and low and behold in the 1995
published year, 4 issued, is a strange looking pyramid with a lizard
crawling at the base of it. Now I looked in the journals to see if I could
find any reference to pyramids, or lizards "climbing evolutionary pyramids"
or anything relating to pyramids, be it reproductive studies or
physiological phenomena and I could not find any explanation at all why
there is a pyramid on the cover---- See attachment, sorry its a poor scan
but I can't check books out of the MSU Library (I'm not an official
student)--its a scan of a photocopy, but as you'll see, and I imagine you
can look up the same issues(all 1995) this same picture appears...
Now here's the kicker guys, take a wild guess what the
card-catalogue/location/call numbers for the study of
Lizards/snakes/reptiles?
That's right 666.
I photocopied the spines of some books so you can see the
numbers.
The question to ask is do all University Libraries follow the same
cataloging numbers? Maybe this is just a strange coincidence, but it made me
blurt out loud in the Library as I saw it, "you got to be f***ing
kidding!"
Just a couple more weird ones for you.

I know its not that important but for further proof, that I'm not pulling
your leg the Montana State University Library Phone numbers are as follows
(I imagine they could validate the catalogue numbers):
hours: 406 994 5290
circulation: 406 994 3139
reference desk: 406 994 4742
