Practical Steps To Take in Protecting Your Privacy
by Priscilla Smith

Please read this to learn how to regain your privacy and protect yourself in the future both on and offline! (If you've surfed the Internet or sent Email, have a bank account, or ever signed up for anything on or offline requiring you to divulge your personal information, you will have already compromised your privacy).

This information is not meant to disturb you (though it will), but only to enlighten you, thus empowering you to begin taking the necessary steps to protect you and your loved ones' privacy in the future.

Internet Messages

Copies of your Internet messages are usually stored in four places, on your personal computer's hard drive, the recipient's hard drive, and one on yours and your recipient's ISP computers. An Internet service provider can keep copies of every message sent by its customers for months or even years. However, there are ways to minimize your chances of this kind of surveillance.

Be aware that in using most of the "FREE" web-based Email services and an alias such as bigkahuna@Hotmail.com for instance, you are NOT protected since your ISP is recorded, through which you can be traced, and your true identity revealed.

If you are an activist (for any cause) and using Email to "get your message out" everything you write about is being recorded!

Sites You've Visited

The best way to begin reclaiming your privacy from your surfing activities is to check your cookies (in Netscape 4x or above click on the Netscape directory, then "user", and finally the cookies file (called cookies.txt). (In Netscape 3.x, go into the main Netscape directory and seach for the cookies file - Note: 3x and above don't show your user name).

You can also click on Communicator (or Navigator) on the top of your browser, click on "tools" and then "history" - the latter will list all the sites you've visited. However, this list doesn't indicate which site has placed cookies on your computer. You can also check your cookies in Internet Explorer in a similar fashion.

Once you've written down the cookies, you can use them to go to the sites, one by one, and investigate their database policies -- if they have an automated profile retrieval process, you can use it to edit and/or delete your file. If not, you'll have to e-mail the company and ask them personally what information they have on you (and to delete it, if that is what you wish). Tell them you're concerned about your privacy. (Freedom by the way, lets you "peer" into each nym's "cookie jar" instantly).

In the future, use "pseudo" names, addresses and telephone numbers whenever you're asked to give personal information online (unless you need to make an e-commerce purchase delivered to your home). Only use e-commerce with companies whose privacy policy categorically states they will not sell or trade your indentity.

An Important "Don't Do"!

If you don't want your true identity known when signing up for anything on the Internet, ensure you are using a Freedom nym with your "pseudo" identity attached to that nym. If you forget to use a nym when signing up, and enter personal information attached to a nym, that nym can then be associated with your true identity because your ISP will be known (since you were not using a nym through the Freedom network to protect yourself). Two of the benefits of using Freedom, is that you can choose to use a nym or not - depending on what you want to do on the Internet. You can also choose the level of security you want - for more information on these benefits, please read Freedom Versus Other Crypto

There's nothing for nothing!

You know the old saying, there's nothing for nothing, right? When taking advantage of any of the free services offered on the Internet, for instance: free web pages, free Email, graphics, list managers, autoresponders, advertising, prizes, bingo, lotto, product surveys, and zillions of other "free" offers too numerous to mention i ndividually, you are usually required to complete a form with your full name, address and any other personal information the company might want from you. These companies are usually selling your information to the highest bidder, or using it for some other ulterior motive (you have no way of knowing if any of these companies are owned and/or controlled by New World Order multinationals, or perhaps are not, but are still collecting your private information for the same purpose (furtherance of the New World Order agenda), whether intentionally or not).

Web-based public forums

If you're using any of the web-based public forums to post messages, we urge you to be cautious. Whilst you can help to prevent your messages from being archived using "x-no-archive" in the body of every new message, you can still be traced through your ISP, which is recorded each time you post your messages.

Password Capturing Technology

Be aware of the existence of technology that can actually capture the passwords you may type into any page you want to access on the Internet, though you'll not see this type of technology openly talked about in the PC/software world!

Software that Stores Passwords

Watch out for software and/or devices fitted to your keyboard that allow you to store all your personal information and passwords in one place. Can you really be sure no-one but you has access? Before purchasing such items, it would be prudent to demand from the company making the product a written statement that in using their product your personal information is indeed secure (including from governments)!

Don't be fooled by the sales pitch used by the companies pushing these types of products. These products currently (plus more sophisticated versions in the future), will ultimately (as more and more of the world's population gains access to computers) be used increasingly as yet further means of invading our private information, with the ultimate goal being to know everything about every citizen on this planet so that we can be controlled and further manipulated by the powerful few. Haven't you noticed the stated goal by governments around the world (led by the White House) of ensuring every citizen including school kids can access a computer - millions of dollars have been allocated to achieve this very goal? With so much poverty in nearly every community, and people dying from lack of food in so many countries around the world, why would millions of dollars be allocated so that every citizen may gain access to a computer, if world domination of the masses, by a powerful few, was not the ultimate goal? We recommend you URGENTLY read Cone of Silence in this regard.

Ordering Goods From Your Favorite Catalogue

Ever ordered anything from the Sears catalogue or any other catalogue company? Ever wondered what they do with the information (your name, address, telephone and fax numbers) they have in their database? Why not ask them to provide to you in writing, a statement to the effect that they do not share your personal information with ANYONE, and especially not with government agencies. Since this information on protecting yourself was first posted, Sears has merged with AOL/Time Warner. So you be the judge - is your personal information on the Sears databases secure? If you don't understand this last statement, read the material in our section titled Privacy

Your Pharmacy Database

Have you considered that your local pharmacy stores your personal information in its database? Whilst our family personally has been assured by our local Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacist that our information is kept confidential, this assurance is not very comforting in light of the fact that in Canada (we can't speak for elsewhere) all Shoppers Drug Mart Stores are now owned by a British multinational corporation!! The significance of this is enormous, and means that a multinational company can now access further personal information related this time to our health, determining what drugs we use and why, and how often. It is disturbing to say the least, if one thinks what they can do to further their New World Order agenda armed with this kind of information on citizens.

Other Databases

Ever colored your hair? If you've needed to call either Clairol or Loreal for advice about their hair products (usually when a color you have applied has turned your hair a strange color), you are asked for your full name and address including postal code, plus your telephone and fax numbers. If they weren't compiling a database, why would they need such information to provide advice about hair coloring? To identify you all they would have to do is issue you a pin number or other such identifier when you first called, that you would use if you needed to call again, and, if they require statistics on what product sells best in a particular area, they would only need to ask you from what province or state you were calling? Ask them to provide to you in writing their assurance that they do not share your personal information with ANYONE, and demand they change their policy of collecting personal information, to one of issuing other identifiers. (Of course you would use a pseudo-identity when you called again, to ensure the information they currently have in their database is not connected to the real you).

As crazy as this sounds, what about TV shows such as Millionaire and Twenty-One and/or any others that come along where you can also "play" online. You have to divulge your personal information in order to play, (while at the same time they are capturing your ISP address)! What are they doing with this information? Since mainstream media including the major networks are illuminati owned and/or controlled, isn't it logical to assume the networks running such shows online are collecting your personal information for "other" motives. What better way to fool the masses and gain access to personal information on a massive number of citizens than to appeal to human greed!

Damn that Dog

Ever complained to your police department about a noisy neighbour, a dog barking late at night, or any other "nuisance", and been asked to provide your full name, address, down to the color of your underwear (the latter is meant to be humorous)? Be aware that many police departments are adding YOU to their database. Ask your police department why they are doing this - bet you don't get a clear answer, but ask anyway, as a law-abiding citizen, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW. Request a written statement from them assuring your personal information has not been added to their database!

We strongly advise all citizens to seek assurance in writing from every bank, company or government department where you have ever been required to divulge your personal information, that they are not compiling databases and including your personal information in such, or selling your information to any other interested party/entity. Obtaining written assurances about your private information will in the future, if a company or entity (government or otherwise) is found to have breached their written assurance, give you the grounds to sue (perhaps in a global class action).

Investing in Technology Companies

What about the current manipulation by the few urging the masses to invest in technology companies? Be aware, if you invest your life savings and/or your retirement funds heavily in technology stocks, that you may be investing in technology that is being used covertly against the human race. Is this ethical? Do you feel good about it? Have you considered what would happen to technology stocks when investors with a conscience clearly understand what is happening? (If you understand how the world really works, you'll be aware that the "big boys" in the business will have already been tipped off (by their Illuminati friends) and unloaded their stocks for big money long before you become aware of a stockmarket crash). If you don't understand this statement, we suggest you read "The Biggest Secret" and/or the Chronicles section titled Banking

We strongly advise you to request from such companies, an assurance in writing, that the technology you are investing in is being used ethically (includes any technology to do with the Internet, plus phones, faxes, cell phones, radios, TV's, microwaves, or any other "cool" technology that may be on the horizon, biometrics cards (which hold a chip that will contain all your personal ID), DNA sequencing, and chip implants (one brand is known as Digital Angel) - currently implanted in animals, reports of them being used in children, and definitely scheduled to be implanted in adults in the very near future - that is if we all foolishly agree to it). Unfortunately some already have, the deal being to be paid $250 to have such a device implanted. Wake up folks, there's no deal here we can assure you. $250 in payment for being completely controlled by an outside force for the rest of your life - are you nuts?!!! To understand how the chip implant will be introduced as a good idea to the human race en masse, read "The Biggest Secret" and/or this article on >Manipulation
