This is the article I have been waiting for. Pope John Paul II is posed to send out a new document stating his beliefs about the
upcoming millennium and what it's implications might mean to millions of Catholics and non-Catholics alike. It is reported
the document would inject the new millennium with a vision of hope based on the renewal of faith.
It is alleged the document might cover the preparation for the "Church for the Great Jubilee".
In the article from the newspaper "La Stampa", it emphasized that the document would reject all millenarian ideas and stress,
on the contrary, that the world is not coming to an end, but will soon experience great changes.
Folks, this sounds just like what Hopi Prophecy states "The world will end, As We Know It". The Hopi's go on to say is a
time of preparation and celebration for the coming changes. And to borrow a line from the movie 2001 Space Odyssey-
"Something Wonderful Is About To Happen"
I guess it comes down to ones perception of the changes that are upon us. Obviously, I choose to see it as a natural
occurrence as well as an opportunity for all of us to once again join together. To rediscover what community and family is all
about.
As I have said so many times before...Now is the time We NEED each other more than ever.
Blessings To All, Mitch
VATICAN CITY, JUL 9 (ZENIT).- According to certain interpretations of "Astrological Centuries," by Michel de
Notre-dame, better known as Nostradamus, the end of the world should have come on July 9.
Some verses of the famous doctor say: "In the year one thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine and seven months,/ a great
fearful King will come from heaven./ He will resurrect the great King of Angolmois ..." In general the texts of these popular
"prophets," like the Greek sibyls, make room for interpretations of all kinds. In fact, other interpreters of Nostradamus, who
was Catherine of Medici's doctor, believe that the terrible date is August 11, 1999, when the north of France will be
enveloped by an eclipse of the sun. European fashion and cultural centers are living with great trepidation these days because
of these terrible prophecies.
Michel de Notre-dame was a very successful doctor, especially during the plague that struck Provence in the 16th century.
After writing the "Astrological Centuries" in 1555, he was greatly respected by the powerful of the time, as they attributed
special powers to him. Nostradamus, as well as the monk of the apocryphal book attributed to Irish Bishop Malachi
(1095-1148), have become two of the most widely known millenarian prophets of our day, in a world that has freed itself
of faith to embrace superstition.
In this context, a report in the Turin newspaper "La Stampa," is of interest. On July 8, it disclosed that John Paul II is taking
advantage of his holidays in Les Combes to write a new document. According to "Holy See sources," which the article did
not identify, it might be a text that could be written as an encyclical; the topic would be the third Christian millennium.
The alleged document could appear in the year 2000. It would address more thoroughly the topics covered in the apostolic
letter "Tertio Millennio Adveniente," of 1994, the letter that prepares the Church for the Great Jubilee. The text would
analyze the 2000 years of Christianity, and would focus on an analysis of the 20th century; it would inject the new millennium
with a vision of hope based on the renewal of faith.
"La Stampa" emphasized that the document would reject all millenarian ideas and stress, on the contrary, that the world is not
coming to an end, but will soon experience great changes.
In general, the Pope takes advantage of his summer holidays to prepare documents of special interest. For the time being, the
information in "La Stampa" has neither been confirmed or denied by the Holy See.

This could be the smoking gun for troop deployment.
It appears it is inevitable to see National Guard Troops and Martial Law declared. An article I wrote months ago, mentioned
we will likely see hysteria with Y2K. Not necessarily from the actual collapse of some, or even most computers world wide,
but rather a "perception" of shortages especially in the banking system. I believe there will indeed be a run on the banks.
Let us hope our civil rights will stay reasonable in tact.
‘Millennium madness’ may be worse than computer glitches
(Reuters) — A crisis management firm advised by an ex-chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff predicted on Wednesday
an upsurge in guerrilla violence against U.S. targets to mark the dawning of the year 2000. “Whether by bombing a jetliner or
attacking crowds in (New York’s) Times Square, it’s almost certain the Year 2000 will be ushered in with a major terrorist
attack,” said Neil Livingstone of GlobalOptions, as the Washington company is called.
The Consulting Firm, which includes several big names in the U.S. counterterrorism world, also predicted disruptions from
doomsday cults and unstable people subject to a “millennium madness” that it says may be coming.
“We have every reason to believe that people are going to try to mark that date,” added Livingstone, an author and
commentator on security issues who is the firm’s chief executive officer.
He referred to cults, stressed-out workers and “crazies” subject to going berserk in what he said would be a “frenzy” of
apocalyptic predictions leading to the date rollover.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) _ A meteor exploded in the sky above New Zealand on Wednesday, casting an eerie
blue light and showering the earth with fragments from space.
The explosion at 4:15 p.m. (1:15 a.m. EDT) was followed by smoke and a flood of phone calls from people who saw the
meteor streaking across the sky, the Carter Observatory in Wellington said. No injuries were reported. ``It was picked up by
aircraft and on radar, so we've had someair traffic controllers calling too,'' said John Field, the observatory's public
programs officer.
The meteor was likely to have been either metal or rock and was probably as big as a car, Field said. A rock meteor would
have broken up into a shower of stones as it came through the atmosphere. On average, one meteor falls to Earth each week,
he said.
Police said hundreds of people reported seeing the meteor over a remote part of New Zealand's North Island _ between the
cities of Napier on the east coast and New Plymouth on the west coast. After a loud explosion, the meteor apparently broke
up in the atmosphere, leaving a vapor trail and blue cloud hanging, police said.
Reports of objects falling to the ground were received across the region, police said, but no pieces have been reported found.
Brendon Bradley, an instructor with the New Plymouth Aero Club, said he was flying when he saw the meteor. ``It was just a
bright light, exactly like a flare,'' he said. ``Afterwards there was smoke in the sky.''
Other witnesses described a bright flash, followed by an explosion and a cloud of brown smoke. ``A big fiery ball came
down. There was a terrific red glow and it sort of went pop,'' said Eric Ray, a resident of the town of Te
Aroha. One man told police the explosion sounded like a natural gas tanker igniting.
