HiddenMysteries ThE-Magazine - Volume 3

Someone Like You
Jim Lightfoot

**************

The sunset fades into the night,
The stars in heaven shine so bright.
The morning sunrise fills the skies,
And all these charms are in her eyes.

**************

High in the trees the wind is sighing,
And far above the moon is shining.
Shadows dance along its' beams,
Oh where's the angel of my dreams?

**************

And then I'm standing by her side,
My passion rising like a tide.
Something only she can tame,
"Marry me, take my name!"

**************

Beneath the leafy canopy,
My lady turned away from me.
No sound nor any sign she made,
But vanished in the forest glade.

**************

We sleep and dream in sweet repose,
Where we go to nobody knows.
But dreams are dreams and life is true,
It's good to know someone like you.
