The Works of Max Gazsi

WELCOME TO THE VOID

All is nothing and nothing is all
In hells eyes we are in thrall.
Across Earth on bellies do we crawl,
'Til death holds all in his pall.

All is dark, all is black,
Trust in Heaven is all we lack
Because love has become so slack.
Yet God, as usual, takes the flak.

But, my friend, do not despair,
Time yet to make a repair.
The eternal always shall flare,
If only, can we, shall we, care?
ALONE

Are we born alone to die alone?
On your belly shall you crawl on your own?

Is this the way it's supposed to be?
Down to earth upon your knees?

Over shards of glass shall we crawl?
Or souls desire should we trawl?

Of life I know not what to view,
Do you....?
WE SLEEP

Deaf and blind we all are born
With no eye turned toward coming storm.
My faith I place in His keep,
'Til, perchance, I should wake from sleep.

Weighed down deep within our slumber
Through which we must blunder,
Yet by dawns first early light
Shall our bonds be broke by might.

Indulge not your tired limbs and eyes
For that way shall they enchant you by and by.
Awake, awake! The gods do cry,
From your path do not shy.

Open eye, open mind
Is the only way for your kind.
Rest and sleep at your leisure
But be not surprised at alter egos pleasure.

If you do see to truly live and fight
Then, I urge, hurry not to spend your birthright.
Awake, awake! The gods do cry,
From the way do not shy.
ENOUGH

When is enough
to be enough, She cried
In this realm of
naught to be spied.

When is it time for us
no longer to consume?
Upon natures bounty
cease to presume?

Shacked and manacled
She cries out aloud,
What need for tools
of woe have the proud?
THE BOND

Bonds of cruelty
and bonds of pain
To the truth
they cannot pertain.

The bond that soars
like a dove,
All in all,
that is love.

Break our backs,
break our bones,
But our essence
shall you never own.

Yet feed my body,
feed my soul
Then, forever more,
shall we be ensouled.
NOTHING

Nothing outside,
nothing upon the street
...and yet.

Nothing within these walls,
nothing at all
...and yet.

Nothing crawls across
the Earth to me to greet
...and yet.

Nothing out on the terraces
nor down in the pool halls
...and yet.

Nothing anywhere
out there at all.
And yet within dwells all that is.
