It began with my discovery of a lost petroglyph at Machu Picchu a few years ago and culminated in a group of forty
women gathering together in Machu Picchu this past spring on a very special assignment - to cleanse the
multi-dimensional doorways of this sacred site in the highest vibration of love, allowing for the next "Pachakuti,"
the shifting of the ages according to Incan legend.

Why would anyone want do such a thing?
Perhaps it was a calling from the heart, a small voice that each woman heard. We did virtually no advertising or
marketing for this journey, just sent simple flyers off to the four winds. Women called from all over the world
having somehow heard about our effort. One woman from Colorado said the flyer flew up from the highway and
stuck to the side of her car! Whoever needed to be there, just came. Afterwards many shared their personal stories
with us saying it was the most beautiful, profound, experience of their life.
We've decided to make the Goddess Gathering a yearly pilgrimage and will return again in May 2000. It's now
open to men as well. Machu Picchu is a very special place with much to offer, we look forward to our return.

Evidently we were not alone there, and though I have never paid very much attention to the UFO talk that abounds, I
am open to many things. I must say that I am grateful that I was not abducted, but grounded!
Perhaps "contact" means just perceiving the world as we have never seen it before and the "doomsday" eclipse of
August 11, 1999, which is fraught with fixed fire signs, simply means the end of the world as we know it. This
would not be a bad thing - a world which makes room for the feminine may very well be a world in which there is
Peace."
Sophie is a professor of women's studies, and an accomplished astrologer. She sat down with the photo one

Look closely at the image of the "Lightsource at Putacusi." It is in fact two glowing spheres interlocking as a
vesica piscis. It's unmistakable!
At the time the photo was taken, the women of the Goddess Gathering had just completed a two hour meditation
called the "sacred marriage" on the site at Machu Picchu overlooking the area where the lightsource appeared. It
was not visible to the naked eye, no one saw it. Only later did this amazingly beautiful image appear on the photos
of the journey.
What is the Vesica Piscis?
Within a vesica piscis is contained "all knowledge." It is the vulva-shape, or womb -- a doorway symbolizing the
point of emergence, or containment.
The classical image of "Christ inside the womb of the Virgin" symbolizes the "immaterial form of Christ entering
the material realm." In other words -- the intangible spiritual form becomes tangible, human. It is a living
metaphor.
In sacred geometry, a vesica piscis is formed when a circle is bisected with another circle of exactly the same size
intersecting two circles that share the same radius. The circles must be identical or of the same size and
circumference. Within the vesica piscis will fit two equilateral triangles, and the rectangle that fits around that is
called the "golden mean rectangle." It is also the "flower of life" and the "tree of life" Within this overlap zone
(vesica) where the two circles meet, lies the "holy of holies" symbolizing the movement of soul through the
fluidium of Spirit seeking its Divine Union, it's "sacred marriage."
