Earthquake Jolts Northern Japan...11/15/99

TOKYO (AP) - A fairly strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.7 jolted northern Japan Monday, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. The quake, which hit at 10:35 a.m., was centered about 25 miles beneath the floor of the Pacific Ocean 65 miles off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture, the Meteorological Agency said. There was no danger of tsunami, or undersea waves set off by volcanic activity or earthquakes, the agency said. The earthquake slightly swayed office buildings in Tokyo, but it was most strongly felt in northwestern cities, including Ofunato in Miyagi and Morioka in Iwate Prefecture.

Hurricane Lenny Now At 100 mph Winds. Growing Rapidly...

MIAMI, Nov. 15 (UPI) - Hurricane Lenny continued to rapidly grow into a powerful storm Monday, developing winds of 100 mph less than 24 hours after first forming as a tropical depression and was threatening Jamaica and Haiti.

At 4 a.m. EST Monday, the hurricane was centered near latitude 15.4 north, longitude 77.1 west, or about 175 miles south of Kingston, Jamaica. The storm is moving to the east at 9 mph.

The storm has sustained winds of 100 mph and was predicted to strengthen Monday. Hurricane force winds reach out 25 miles from the storm center while tropical storm force winds were recorded 85 miles from the center.

Solar Activity, Magnetic Shifts, And Extreme Earth Changes...11/14/99 by Mitch Battros (ECTV)

Over the last few years I had placed special notice to the connection between solar activity and our weather phenomenon. It started with reports of "El Nino" as being the source of our strange weather changes. We had noticed something was happening to shift the jet stream and ocean currents. It was touted by all news stations to be the result of what we know as El Nino. This just did not satisfy my curiosity.

I remember the main stream media would give dates as to when the current weather shift would end. We would hear El Nino would end by February. When it continued, our favorite meteorologist would come on and say "well, we meant to say March. At the end of March (with no change), they said, Uhhhh, I meant April. I believe they were too embarrassed to continue moving the month, so they changed the name. "Did I say El Nino? I meant to say La Nina. Yeah, that's it".

Just poking a little fun at our own human behavior. When we do not understand something, we will go to great lengths to try and explain it, tag it, and put it away. It is part of our genetic make up. This is not a bad thing. It is what helps drive us to achieve I will discuss this issue in greater detail when presenting my workshop presentation on PTSD and the emotional distress millions will go through as the earth changes escalate.

The natural question for any researcher to ask would be "what causes El Nino/La Nina". What my research suggest it to be is the Magnetic Shift of our magnetic field which surrounds the Earth. It appears that when this shift occurs, it creates a kind of frictional current. In turn, this sequence of events redirects our upper atmosphere and effects jet stream and ocean currents. This action in turn effects our weather patterns, causing it to be warm where usually cold, cold where usually warm and so forth.

Then I asked what causes the Magnetic Shift? You guessed it, our Sun. My research suggest there is a direct connection to solar activity and weather escalation. Shortly after times of CME's (coronal mass ejection's), solar flares, x-ray flares etc. you will likely notice an escalation of earth change activities in the way of earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, wind shears and other weather phenomenon.

Now we have another way of predicting, yes I said predicting (NASA's own words) solar activity that affects our earth. It is sunspots. This has been one of the methods scientist have made 11, 22, 1200 assessments of solar cycles.

The solar cycle, (measured by sunspots) in a report issued by NASA states we are in an eleven year cycle named "cycle 23". There is only one problem with this statement. The scale made for this solar cycle, which includes its apex, shows sunspots might count to as high as 150 in a twenty four or forty eight hour period. This undeniable data suggest we are in what many scientist call a "Mega Cycle" which may occur ever hundreds of thousands of years (exact number not known). If my research is correct, we are in for earth changing events we have NEVER seen before.

Solar Magnetic Fields

Magnetism is the key to understanding the Sun. Magnetism, or magnetic field, is produced on the Sun by the flow of electrically charged ions and electrons. Sunspots are places where very intense magnetic lines of force break through the Sun's surface. The sunspot cycle results from the recycling of magnetic fields by the flow of material in the interior. The prominences seen floating above the surface of the Sun are supported, and threaded through, with magnetic fields. The streamers and loops seen in the corona are shaped by magnetic fields. Magnetic fields are at the root of virtually all of the features we see on and above the Sun. Without magnetic fields the Sun would be a rather boring star.

Measuring Magnetic Fields

Magnetic forces change the direction of motion of moving charged particles like electrons. Because of this, electrons that orbit around a nucleus in one direction will have more energy than electrons that orbit about the nucleus in the opposite direction. This allows us to remotely measure the Sun's magnetic field by observing the difference in the energy of the light emitted as these electrons jump from orbit to orbit. With the proper instrumentation we can determine both the strength and the direction of the magnetic field all across the surface of the Sun.

Modeling Magnetic Fields

Magnetic field lines loop through the solar atmosphere and interior to form a complicated web of magnetic structures. Many of these structures are visible in the chromosphere and corona, the outermost layers of the Sun's atmosphere. However, we usually measure the magnetic field itself in the photosphere, the innermost layer of the Sun's atmosphere. Techniques can be used to mathematically map these magnetic field lines into the outer layers where they can be compared with the observed structures.

Finally, my belief is that ALL science is subjective, even when backed up by mounds of data. In other words, it is simply my opinion. I encourage you not to follow my truth, but follow your truth. Often they may match, but it will always be your truth that has the power to make a difference.

Death Toll Rises To 321 In Turkey After Quake...11/13/99 By Osman Senkul

DUZCE, Turkey (Reuters) - Dazed survivors and rescue workers searched in freezing temperatures on Saturday for signs of life in the rubble of Turkey's second devastating earthquake in less than three months.

Officials said at least 321 people died in the quake, which shook Turkey's northwestern province of Bolu on Friday evening. The jolt was felt in the capital Ankara and the commercial center of Istanbul. ``My Allah, the pain,'' said the Sabah daily of what it called Turkey's ``unending earthquake nightmare.''

Aftershocks continued through Saturday morning as the army and the civil power, stung by accusations they had been slow to respond to August's quake, rushed to deploy rescue teams and heavy lifting equipment.

Organizers said a summit of 54 leaders, including President Clinton, scheduled for Istanbul on November 18-19 would go ahead despite the disaster.

Clinton was due in Ankara on Sunday. His wife Hillary and daughter Chelsea were expected in Turkey later on Saturday.

More than 780 people were injured in the tremor, measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale, and hundreds were believed trapped in collapsed buildings. One entire lane of the main highway linking Ankara and Istanbul, at Bolu Mountain, collapsed into a ravine.

A N K A R A, Turkey, Nov. 12 - A massive earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 7.4 struck Turkey today, with at least 17 deaths and hundreds of injuries reported. Cries for help were heard echoing through the town of Duzce, near the epicenter, where hundreds of buildings reportedly collapsed. Explosions and heavy damage to the region's infrastructure were also reported. The quake struck a region already devastated by a massive quake three months ago that left 17,000 dead, 50,000 injured and severely damaged buildings and infrastructure. "We are facing a new disaster. It is a destructive earthquake and I hope we will not face a great loss," Turkish President Suleyman Demirel told reporters in Ankara.

A Sign Of The Times, A Time To Prepare...

The articles below are no longer predictions by Edgar Cayce, Nostradomus, Hopi Prophecy or anyone else. It is now fact. It is happening right before our eyes.

Is it too late...No! Is this a time to panic...No! Is it a time to prepare in every way...Yes. Be still and know. What is important in your life? Are you holding on too tight? Are you taking action towards your goals? Have you taken the time to make a priorities list? The Hopi's have stated over and over again, this is the time of "Purification". I believe this statement not to be of religious origin, but rather asking yourself "what is really important". What is it I need to let go of, and what is it I need to go towards.

I want to state this as clear as I possibly can. This is not about following my truth (or anyone else) but rather to follow Your Truth! This is a time for communities to come together. Seek and you shall find...Find What? Your Truth, in whatever way this means to you. What is your journey? Could it be to help others who are less aware of the changes upon us. It is most likely those who believe "nothing: is different" will be most prone to panic, shock, and trauma. You can help. Maybe not by trying to convince them of something beyond their comfort zone or belief system, but by simply being there for them when "their" reality kicks in.

As a Mental Health Therapist who specializes in PTSD, I can tell you with confidence, there will be millions who are likely to experience shock, trauma and a stress disorder called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. One of the most common statements made by those who have suffered such an event is " This is/was not supposed to happen" Another common statement is "why me, what did I do wrong". PTSD is a tearing and ripping of morals and values and predictability. Things that have happened to a person "that are not supposed to happen" Things/evnets unknown, unfamiliar, and unpredictable. I have experienced very few feelings more sobering than looking in the eyes of someone who is lost, bewildered, frozen.

I believe there is a great spiritual orientation that coincides with the minimizing and healing of such a fast changing world. Carl Yung calls it "synchronisity". Simply put, whatever happens in ones life is part of a greater whole. Part of a larger journey most likely beyond our human ability to comprehend or "look around the corner".

I will be traveling around the country presenting my research and data as to what is happening regarding Earth Changes (and maybe some whys). Two Volcanoes On The Verge Of Major Eruption..

The BBC reported today: "Two volcanoes in Ecuador could erupt at any moment, scientists warned on Tuesday. They said seismic energy was once again building up inside the Guagua Pichincha volcano, 12 km outside the capital city, Quito, and in the Tungurahua volcano, in Ecuador's central Andes. The threat of an explosion prompted authorities to suspend school on Tuesday for more than 400,000 students.

"There is a sustained build-up of activity," said Pablo Samaniego, a scientist with Ecuador's Geophysical Institute. He said it was believed that a 'major explosion' could occur 'at any moment' in either volcano. If there is an eruption of the Tungurahua volcano - the name means 'throat of fire' in the local Indian language - hot lava could reach the central spa town of Banos within 15 minutes, local specialists calculate.

On Monday, the 5,016-metre (16,266ft) high volcano came back to life after a relatively calm Sunday, belching out rocks and ash for more than an hour. Witnesses near Tungurahua, 125 km (78 miles) south of the capital, reported hearing explosions like 'cannon shots' up to 15km (nine miles) away from the volcano. 'The rocks came out with force and a lot of noise,' a witness told Agence France Presse news agency. 'They broke apart as they fell to the ground. It seemed like the giant of the Andes threw out everything inside it,' the witness said. The volcano sporadically blew ash throughout Monday morning, with a plume at least 3,000 metres (9,900ft) high. Authorities evacuated Banos's 17,000 residents on 16 October, along with 8,000 people living in half a dozen nearby villages..."

Severe Weather Swings Bring Record Breaking Temps...

Residents of Boston awoke to chilly temperatures in the 30s this morning, after experiencing high temperatures in the 70s yesterday. Things didn't warm up much during the day. People wore coats and hats to guard against the cold weather that was compounded by a wind chill that was expected to dip into the teens.

The forecast calls for high temperatures in the 40s today. That's about 15 degrees below average for the area at this time of year. Just yesterday, the region was 15 to 20 degrees above average.

The winter blast comes from a Canadian high-pressure system that is moving into the United States from Ontario. It sent temperatures plunging in Michigan just after midnight. Parts of that state saw record highs in the upper 60s before the front arrived. Residents of the northern plains will have to wait a little longer for a cool down. More record temperatures are expected there through Saturday. Temperatures are expected to drop slightly on Sunday.

Continued Validation Of Earth Changes...

The article below confirms what we have recently been made aware. The earth changes currently occurring are changing our lives forever. Research suggest this is not a fad that will go away next year. It is a trend which will be around for years to come. It is all part of what many scientist are now calling a "Mega Cycle" related to solar activity. We are in a cycle which we have never before witnessed. It exceeds the 11, 22, 1200, and 12,000 year solar cycle generally known in science circles today. This "Mega Cycle" is believed to occur perhaps on a hundreds of thousands year cycle (the exact number is unknown).

The increased solar activity has already begun. It is believed this current solar cycle will reach its apex (ironically) at the turn of the millennium, January 2000. Watch for escalation of earth changing events in the way of earthquakes, volcanos, and storms (either floods or snow depending on the region). Yes, thousands have already died from earthquake activity alone, several more thousands from floods and landslides, just in the past 60 days. I am expecting even more weather (earth) phenomenon to occur now and continue through the next several months.

Our Health In A Warming World...

Warmer, wetter winters and more severe summer droughts, forecast with global warming, could set the stage for more disease outbreaks like the West Nile virus that beset New York or the hantavirus that plagued Texas last summer. International negotiators meeting in Bonn, Germany in November to try to cut governments' emissions of "greenhouse gases" produced little more than promises, but public health experts are increasingly concerned about the health effects of a warming world - on us and our fellow creatures. They trace it to local climatic conditions and larger, long-term patterns of global climate change.

Scientists have been warning that rising global temperatures could usher in a host of unwelcome changes - from rising sea levels to changes in the global water cycle, with alternating rain and drought, as well as altered forests, crop yields and water supplies, and threats to human health as well as that of all wildlife and ecosystems. The United Nations body of scientists advising governments on the scientific and technical aspects of global climate change, otherwise known as The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) stated that "climate change is likely to have wide-ranging and mostly adverse impacts on human health, with significant loss of life." (not surprisingly) situations fostering concern as well for "mental health."

WASHINGTON (AP) - After receiving the final report on the nation's Y2K-related repairs, President Clinton reassured Americans that there will be "no major national breakdowns" because of computer failures at the end of the year. Clinton said he is confident that the federal government is fully prepared for Year 2000 conversion. "The American people can have full faith that everything from air traffic control systems to Social Security payment systems will work like they should," he said. But with only 51 days remaining, Clinton noted there are local governments, schools, hospitals and small businesses that are lagging behind on repairs. He cautioned them against delaying any further and provided a toll-free telephone number for information on becoming Y2K-compliant by the end of the year.

Sever Solar Storm On It's Way...

NOAA has now made it's official announcement of the most damaging Solar activity this world society has ever seen. My reach suggest the earth has seen this phenomenon many times, but know one in the last several generations have. It is because we are in what is often being described as a "Mega Cycle". This goes way beyond the 11, 22 1200, and 12,000 year cycle's we are familiar with. This "mega cycle" occurs once every several thousands of years (exact number unknown at this time) and is more sever than any event previous seen.

The article below does indeed acknowledge the severity of such events, but stops way short of it's connection to the sever affect on weather. Earth Changes TV again acknowledges and appreciates the Associated Press for covering this most important event that will affect us all.

NOAA Announces Storm Warning Scale...

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Sun will greet the new millennium by turning angry, erupting into the most active part of its 11-year cycle with outbursts of energy that can threaten satellites, electrical power and spacewalking astronauts. Officials at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Tuesday the approaching solar storm could be more destructive than previous cycles because the Earth has more power grids and satellites that might be affected. There are also 600 satellites, more than ever in history, that also might be affected, said D. James Baker, the NOAA administrator. This year the power companies and satellite operators will be better prepared than ever, he said. Two satellites, operated by NOAA, NASA and the Air Force, are positioned in orbit to warn about hazardous energy bursts from the sun.

The scales will predict the intensity of three types of energy eruptions from the sun: geomagnetic, radiation and radio storms. For geomagnetic storms, caused by ejections of charged masses from the corona of the sun, there is a scale of G1 to G5. The strongest, G5, warns of electromagnetic energy powerful enough to knock out power grids, disable satellites and cause auroras, the so-called northern lights, to be visible as far south as the equator. For radiation storms, caused by bursts of protons and neutrons, the scale is from S5, the strongest, to S1. An S5 storm would be powerful enough to kill spacewalking astronauts, disrupt communications, cause memory losses in satellites and even disrupt navigation signals. For radio storms, caused by bursts of radio frequency energy from the sun, the scale is from R5, the strongest, to R1. An R5 storm could cause a blackout of high frequency radio signals on the sunlit side of the Earth and disrupt low frequency navigation signals for hours.

The events below occurred within 24 hours of each other. Is this a freak incident, an aberration, a coincidence? My research suggest it is a trend. A cycle (Mega Cycle) that is accelerating due to solar activity. As most of you know, I am based in science and bridge the gap to the esoteric. Never before have they come so close.

Experts from both fields are starting to come forward with their research data (or predictions) depending on their field. In short the Earth Changes have escalated to a point where NO ONE CAN DENY THEM ANY LONGER. For this reason, I have started participation in a lecture tour to discuss these very issues and even more importantly, How To Survive Them...(Physiclly, Spiritually, Emotionally).

As a Mental Health Therapist who specializes in PTSD, I take careful consideration of the Shock and Trauma many people will experience when these events begin to hit close to home. Yet Another 6.9 Earthquake Shakes Taiwan...11/02/99

TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) - A large earthquake that shook Taiwan early Tuesday was strong enough to cause widespread damage, but didn't because of its location, experts said. The tremor measured 6.9 on the Richter scale, but no major building damage, injuries or deaths were reported. The earthquake caused a few brief power outages and other minor damage. It was centered deep in the Pacific Ocean, 27 miles northeast of the city of Taitung in southeast Taiwan, said Lu Pei-ling, a seismologist with the Central Weather Bureau. Still, the quake was close enough to the island to shake people awake at 1:53 a.m. local time and knock things off shelves in the capital, Taipei, 90 miles north of Taitung.

Quakes Recorded At Japan Volcano...

TOKYO (AP) - Japan's Meteorological Agency urged caution Sunday after hundreds of earthquakes were recorded near an active volcano in the southern part of the nation. The agency said about 450 earthquakes were registered on the south side of Sakurajima, a populated volcanic island inside Kagoshima Bay, about 590 miles southwest of Tokyo. The tremors, none strong enough to be felt by humans, were recorded between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, the agency said. The 3,686-foot-high Sakurajima volcano has erupted 121 times so far this year, compared with 103 times in all of last year, the agency said.

Iran Earthquake Injures 28...

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) - An earthquake in Iran's southern Fars province injured at least 28 people, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported Monday. It said the 4.9 magnitude quake, which struck early Sunday, knocked out power lines and caused a blackout in the city of Kazeroun and surrounding villages for several hours. The area is 450 miles south of Tehran, the capital. Several homes and other buildings were damaged, said the report, monitored in Dubai. Mahmoud Rasafiyani, Kazeroun's governor, said four of the 28 wounded were hospitalized but the rest sustained minor injuries, IRNA reported.

Earthquake Injures 30 In Peru...

LIMA, Peru (AP) - An earthquake that struck the central Andean highlands injured 30 people and destroyed 150 adobe homes, officials said. Peru's military was flying 20 tons of emergency supplies to an isolated village on Monday. Sunday's 4-magnitude quake hit the village of Quispillacta the hardest, forcing some 500 Quechua-speaking Indians in the Chuschi district of Peru's central Andes to spend the night outdoors, said Marcelino Condori, fire chief in Ayacucho, the provincial capital. The frigid mountain region is 11,600 feet above sea level, Condori said. The quake hit about 8:27 a.m. Sunday.

Mainstream Media Acknowledges "Mega Cycles"...

More good news. The associated press article below indicates the mainstream media continues to catch on. Finally the weather phenomenon we are experiencing is being acknowledged beyond cutsie names like "El Nino" and "La Nina". This is a "Mega Cycle" related to our Sun. It is expected we will witness an escalation of solar flares, gamma ray blast, CME's, Class M flares, and x-ray burst. Has this happened before? Yes!. Study: Climate Can Change Quickly...10/29/99

WASHINGTON (AP) - In a study that may sound a warning about global warming, researchers have found evidence the world's climate can change suddenly, almost like a thermostat that clicks from cold to hot. A new technique for analyzing gases trapped in Greenland glaciers shows an ice age that gripped the Earth for thousands of years ended abruptly some 15,000 years ago when the average air temperatures soared. "There was a 16-degree abrupt warming at the end of the last ice age," said Jeffrey P. Severinghaus of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, lead author of a study to be published Friday in the journal Science. "It happened within just a couple of decades.
