Map # 5

This represents an attractive pastoral scene from the period of the ( at least, I guess ) Tudor Kings of England. That's getting on for a thousand years of English history, but peanuts compared to ancient China and Egypt, of course. Observe the various craetures all in proper perspective and geometry to give the whole scenario an intended depth and bredth of vision. Very attractive, and impressive when you consider the ancient engineers and architects didn't have access to aerial resources like helicopters etc. Now turn to map # 6
