The Key to the Dreamspell Agenda
Oxib Ajmac. October 2nd, 1995.
6 Oc 12.19.2.9.10

Through the work of clear-thinking individuals wishing to protect and learn from authentic Mayan cultural traditions, most notably the Sacred Calendar tradition, the agenda of Dreamspell has been exposed. There are forces at work in the world today, vying for control of human souls and working beneath everyday appearances to appropriate the earth - our mother - and her fruits. These forces or, may we say, higher beings, are crafty indeed. They have played a role in the development of consciousness on earth for a long time, and they wish to keep us from knowing what is really going on. It is now quite clear that the seemingly harmless movement known as Dreamspell is an operative unit of these nefarious forces with a special emphasis on appropriating the ancient genius of Mesoamerica. Middle American traditions celebrate the earth and perceive an inseparable unity between sky and earth - a unity of spiritual and physical being. Modern Maya retain the ancient vision of life within the Gaian body, and this is why, as Mark Valladares writes, Maya means Mother.

Unfortunately, this beautiful holistic cosmology has no place in a trans-national future of high-tech serfdom and spiritual subjection of Maya's citizens to the continuing agenda of materialism and manipulation. Thus, the onslaught against the Maya of Central America continues in new guise, a guise with pretty ornaments and attractive packaging which hides, as did Itzam Ye's jewelled eyes, a self-serving and ultimately destructive agenda. On a more down-to-earth level, Dreamspell is a perfect example of how indigenous handiwork gets appropriated, misrepresented and distorted. This has been a controversial issue: the opportunistic and disrespectful selling of sacred indigenous traditions. The key words here are misrepresented and disrespectful. In Dreamspell literature, now widely available on the World Wide Web and thus influencing people around the world, the unique and creative perspective developed by visionary channeler Jose Arguelles is being promoted as the Mayan calendar. As some kind of measure of authority in these matters, he claims to channel the spirit of the great ruler of Palenque, Pacal. If Jose's new perspectives were presented as new perspectives, derived from Mayan tradition, there would be a lot less to complain about here. However, it is simply deplorable that Dreamspell is spewing its distorted derivations around the world and labelling them the real thing. This is bad enough, and it gets worse.

The Root of Confusion

The correlation between the tzolkin and Gregorian calendars is the most important basis for acting in solidarity with the Maya. The correlation used by Arguelles in The Mayan Factor (1986) and Dreamspell (1991) is wrong. Perhaps we can trace the development of his count.

In a two-page note found in Arguelles' early book The Transformative Vision (1975), he discusses the correlation problem and admits that at that point, he doesn't know what day it really is in the tzolkin count. He does, however, suggest that Tony Shearer is doing good work in this area, and may have something to offer in his forthcoming book Beneath the Moon and Under the Sun. (1975). Information on pages 116 and 154 of Shearer's book allow us to reconstruct the correlation that Shearer came up with: August 17th, 1987 is equated with 1 Imix. This means that Shearer's correlation was only one day off the True Count (in which August 16th = 1 Imix). The man whose work was the basis for the Harmonic Convergence date in 1987 was apparently aware of the True Count! The one day deviance may simply be mathematical error, as other calculations in Shearer's book are off the mark. For example, on page 115 we read that 170,937 days after April 21st, 1519, the Fifth World will end; on the next page we are given the date August 16th, 1987 as the end date. This calculation is off by over 100 days, meaning that Harmonic Convergence should have happened in early spring! The mid-August date was probably chosen because the astrology was fortuitous.

After discussing Shearer's work (1975:302-303), Arguelles then discusses the information from the Books of Chilam Balam, calling it "somewhat less precise." In these books, Arguelles writes, "no dates are given." This is revealing because years later, in a transcript of a talk Jose gave in April of 1995, which appeared in Sedona journal, he says that his source for the correlation he uses comes from the Chilam Balam line of the Jaguar Priest tradition. This is highly unusual, because academic analysis of the Books of Chilam Balam, as well as the Chronicle of Oxcutzcab and the writings of Bishop Diego de Landa is exactly what led to the discovery of the 584283 correlation - the True Mayan Count. If Jose's count is derived from this placement, and the Yucatec daykeeper tradition did implement a reform which "froze" their New Year's Day to July 26th, such that the tzolkin correlation loses 1 day every 4 years (as in Jose's count), then we can check this in the following way. There are roughly 103 leap days that are lost between 1582 (the approximate time of the Yucatec reform) and 1995. Thus, Jose's count, if it does follow this conquest-era distortion of the True Count of days, should be 103 days different from the True Count. But it isn't, it is presently 52 days different. It is very revealing to note that Jose does openly discuss the correlation problem back in 1975 whereas today his statements are heaped with contradictions and disinformation.

In Earth Ascending (1984), no mention is made of a correla tion date. In The Mayan Factor, a few dates are presented which establish a correlation was chosen. At that time Arguelles' count correlation was 54 days out of sync with the True Count: on page 196, October 6th, 1986 is called 1 Imix (in the True Count it was 12 Manik). This is the standard count used from then on, especially present in the Dreamspell kit of 1991, which contained a "Galactic Compass" for finding dates.

Dreamspell has glaring inconsistencies which have not been satisfactorily explained by its creator. Perhaps they've been explained away, but they haven't been explained by any standard of sense making. Among these: The Dreamspell tzolkin count loses 1 day every 4 years because it simply ignores February 29th. The count itself is not the same count used by the Classic Period Maya (the so-called "Galactic" Maya). Dreamspell ignores the consensus among modern daykeepers in Mesoamerica who still follow the True Count, being overtly disrespectful in the name of self-promotion. And a minor point: Dreamspell promoted July 26th, 1992 as the beginning of the final katun of the Great Cycle, and this was clearly way off the mark. The final katun actually commenced on April 6th, 1993 (12.19.0.0.1) in conjunction with, amazingly, Venus rising as morningstar. This was a calendric epiphany lost on Dreamspellers because it wasn't part of the holy rhetoric emanating from Deception Central High Command. These are some of the easily seen problems with Dreamspell. But we must remember that the higher forces behind Dreamspell are crafty and wiley, prone to distract with shiny and glaring things. The February 29th non-day and the dissonance between the Dreamspell count and the True Count is probably the most glaring of these distractions. Could it be that these "mistakes" of Dreamspell are not the result of sloppy research but are really part of the plan? What are the effects of the day-count dissonance and its changing value at 4-year intervals? We need to look beyond the pride of our discovery of these apparent mistakes and look closely at the effects these two properties have.

Just a Little Transfusion

The first thing that comes to mind is the fact that it is not okay to just follow any placement of the ritual count. This is because the Morphic Resonance fed by ongoing and ancient shrine ceremonies performed on specific days in the tzolkin count is subject to disruption if a dissonant count is set up. Authentic traditional Mayan culture follows the ancient True Count of days, reinforces its oracular power as a divinatory tool through timed ceremonies, and is the only one that can be said to be "galactically synchronized." The implementation of a different count of days by the pseudo-Mayan Dreamspell movement sets up a ritual interference pattern and thus is, in effect, a spiritual offensive against the True Tzolkin-Count and surviving Mayan culture today. Furthermore, the Dreamspell count - the ritual monkey wrench in the works - is mutable in that it loses a day every 4 years. Here is the key to understanding the agenda behind the mask and the force behind the puppet. We find that Dreamspell is not simply a harmless game or New Age fan club; rather, it is the Southern Command operative unit of the age-old offensive against Maya, the Gaian Web - Mother Earth. The beings behind this covert operation hope to distract us with glaring inconsistencies so they can continue their work unexposed. Exposing and anticipating their long-term plan is what we can now do, by exploring the auguries of the regularly mutating dissonance-factor between the Dreamspell count and the True Mayan Count.

Presently, here in October of 1995, the Dreamspell count is 52 days out of sync with the True Count. Since Dreamspell will neglect to count leap-day next February, as of March 1st the dissonance factor becomes 51. Projecting forward, the two counts synchronize perfectly in era 2200-2204 A.D. This identifies the parameters of the agenda - more on this later. A table clarifies the dissonance factor in 4-year eras up to end date 2012:

Table of the constantly mutating dissonance-factor virus.
Spiritual offensive against the ritual field of the
True Count changes every four years:

YEARSDISSONANCE#'sDay-sign's

1992-9652 days13/1312/20

2004-0849 days10/139/20
2008-1248 days9/138/20
2012-1647 days8/137/20

The 4-year shift-cycle is exactly half of the 8-year Venus cycle found in the Dresden Codex. One can fractionalize each ratio in the table above and come up with a detailed analysis of these number relationships, but let's keep things simple. Our first concern is identifying the numerological nature of the primary dissonance number (for example, 52 in era 1992-96). What is the quality of this number in relation to the full 260-day ritual cycle? What is its relation to the key tzolkin numbers 13 and 20? And how does it relate to the 12:60 of industrial materialism?

The era 1992-96 was characterized by the launching of Dreamspell, the consolidation of July 26th as Dreamspell's New Year's Day, and the splintering of Dreamspell Central Command into many seed groups. A 52-day dissonance is 1/5th of the tzolkin, providing an overall cozy feeling. The # dissonance was also in perfect harmonic, i.e., during this period of expansion the Dreamspell count and the True Count shared the same numbers. However, the day-sign dissonance was 12/20 - the day-signs were 12 days out of sync. 12 is, of course, a key number of the 12:60 and 12/20 = .60! In the previous era, the day-sign rub was a tzolkin pleasing 13/20, clearly stimulating a juicing up of Dreamspell from the well of galactic synergy. On March 1st, 1992, the dramatic shift from a 13/20 Maya factor to a 12/20 factor symbolizing the worst of 12:60 interference illustrates how Dreamspell injects poison into the True Count. A harmonic relation between any given aspect of these fields invites reciprocal sharing of the Gaian wellspring and then, when leap-day is ignored the field of relationship changes, literally, overnight!

For another example, in era 2004-08, the day-sign dissonance is 9/20 and the overall dissonance number is 49. This means the difference between the number (out of 13) in the Dreamspell count as compared to the True Count is 10. There are, of course, 13 total numbers to cycle through, so the # dissonance is 10/13. This ratio equals 1.3, which refers to a key number of the 13:20. As such, the Dreamspell count feeds off of the True Count or gets a "rub" from the True Count. This is how the Dreamspell agenda appropriates or sucks the life force from the True Count. However, because the Dreamspell count is constantly shifting, or mutating, it also injects 12:60 influence into the reciprocal dynamic between the two competing ritual fields.

The 12:60 emerges from the phase-dissonance thrown upon the True Count by the constantly mutating Dreamspell aggressor. Like all good viruses, an ability to shift and mutate ensures adaptability to a dying host. Also, Dreamspell knows that its host (the Maya) will die, and thus endeavors to organize a Neo-Mayan replicant in the throng of unsuspecting First World seekers. Maya = Mother; Mother = Life. Dreamspell will feed upon life wherever it is juicy. Here we can see that the apparent "mistakes" of Dreamspell are really part of the plan. Attacking the evils of the 12:60 became a rally cry during the 1992-1996 era, but the real offensive was within the 12-day dissonance itself. This kind of projection is how Dreamspell injects the poison; it doesn't matter where it is, as long as its replicant-host is aware and thinking about the 12:60, the seeds are thus planted. At the same time, Dreamspell feeds off the True Count rub through its other more harmonious aspects.

Let's go back to the field transition of 1992. On March 1st, 1992 the dissonance factor changes from 53 to 52. This represents an increased offensive against the True Count, in the following way. The parameters of the field-relationship change with the dissonance factor. A 53-day dissonance means that the tzolkin numbers are 1/13th out of phase, while the day-signs are 13/20ths out. The day-signs here, as we mentioned earlier, have a favorable relation. The 1/13th number dissonance is slightly out of tune. Dreamspell steals the power of the True Count by mutating every 4 years. The True Count has stability and the power of millennia behind it; it is rooted like a huge ancient tree. Its strength is derived from the number and power of its ceremonial keepers, but it is in danger of becoming rigid and fragile, subject to disruption by a constantly changing offensive from all sides. The increased offensive in 1992 is stronger, as outlined above, but still covert, hidden behind the overall harmony of the 52/260 harmonic of 1:5.

The 1 Imix Opportunity of 1996

The March 1st, 1996 shift represents a new dissonance factor, part of the intentional Dreamspell agenda we can decipher through this process of examining the numerical dynamics involved. This date is 1 Imix in the True Count, and provides a doorway for Dreamspell followers to jump ship and begin following the True Count. The longer anyone follows a specific ritual pattern, the harder it will be to shift. Dreamspellers will increasingly move into conscious opposition to authentic Mayan culture when we open era 2000-2004 A.D. in which the day-sign difference is 10 (in direct opposition). At this juncture, unless Dreampellers are prepared to consciously declare their open opposition to the True Count - and all of this by then will be out in the open - they should take the opportunity afforded by the next 1 Imix (March 1st, 1996) to abandon allegiance to the Dreamspell count.

The changing harmonic relationship between Dreamspell and the True Count reveals the hidden agenda of nefarious forces determined to destroy Maya - our work in subverting this end game will be long and difficult. When we extend out the table given above, we can see that full appropriation of Maya will not take place until era 2200 - 2204 A.D. This is when the two counts perfectly synchronize for 4 years. We may presume that this represents the final absorption of Maya-Mother into the 12:60 Dreamspell nigthmare. By now it is clear that Dreamspell is everything it pretends it isn't - a common mind-control strategy - and, like a virus, it ultimately destroys what it feeds on. It feeds of Maya, the Mother-source of Life and renewal. Dreamspell runs hand in hand with the New World Order ideals that would enslave 99% of the earth's life, and Maya will be subjected to the tricky number games of vainglorious rulers. The Omega Point of this self-serving agenda is ultimately death by consumption - leaving everything past the point of renewal, forever dead and lifeless.

The shift of March 1st, 1996 goes from 52 to 51 days. Here Dreamspell must take the juice it has appropriated from 8 years of rub and launch heavily into its own independant rhetoric and gradually begin implementing its agenda in more overt ways. Will people continue to buy Dreamspell during this period in which it is less fueled by feeding on the True Count? The number dissonance will be 12/13 and the day-sign differential will be 11/20. Its only number nurturance will come from 13/12 = 1.08. This number, 108, is the number of the Goddess Mother in Far Eastern traditions, being reducable to 9. We may suspect that Goddess rhetoric in general will increase in Dreamspell propaganda, marginalizing and distracting us from the Middle American source of these concepts. This may take the form of a call for Gaian renewal and so forth.

During era 2000-2004, a 200-year harmonic to the final end game in 2200-2204 will take place. This will be the do or die phase for Dreamspell, the deception test, as by then its true intentions will be exposed and its day-sign auguries will come into direct opposition with the True Count. Oc will meet Ahau, Serpent will meet the Eagle; Quetzal meets Coatl. This may be when the counts are highlighted by their very opposition, exposed for all to see, the ritual count-field cancelling itself out. It could be a time of tense opposition, innovative resolution, mutual annihilation, or quiet integration. But that's only for 4 years, then a new phase begins and by December 21st of A.D. 2012 the counts are dissonant by a factor a 47 (# dissonance of 8/13 and day-sign dissonance of 7/20). The game continues by chipping away at the ancient ritual field of the True Tzolkin Count by changing its interference strategy every 4 years. It feeds off the True Tzolkin Count, alternately feeding and chipping away, just like the insane unconscionable behavior of industrial materialism itself.

Timeweave Interpositioning:
Another Way To Juice Up

One more method of juicing off the True Count, which also serves to subvert the True Count, involves timeweave interpositioning of key dates. The interposition is between the false count and the True Count, weaving influence behind the scenes. We find this in Arguelles' literature. In The Mayan Factor, the text ends with October 6th, 1986 correlated with 1 Imix (page 196). This, of course, is the Arguelles count. In the True Count this day was 12 Manik. As far as I can tell, this is the first presentation of a published date correlation using the distorted count - highly symbolic of the newly launched offensive campaign. And here's the target: The end of the Great Cycle on December 21st, 2012 A.D. occurs on 12 Manik in the Arguelles count (4 Ahau in the True Count). This is an ingenius day-god co-opt taking into account the 7 days lost between 1986 and 2012; the element of chance here is reduced to nil. In other words, a deeper trans-dimensional intentionality is definitely at work here. Also, the false 1 Imix date in October of '86 disruptively targets the autonomy of day-god 1 Imix when it truly occurs on March 1st, 1996. As we have seen, this 1 Imix date in the True Count is a very important transition and test for Dreamspell, the beginning of era 1996-2000 with a dissonance value of 51. The interval between these dates in "real time" isn't what is important - it's the ritual misrepresentation of the "face" of 1 Imix, thereby compromising its credibility and power whenever it occurs later on; in essense, stealing its power through false usage. This type of timeweave obfuscation is complex and should be examined in greater detail. However, the effects of the mutating dissonance virus are more direct and clear-cut.

The Dreamspell Game: Who Wins?

The mutating dissonance factor of the Dreamspell virus is a skillfully crafted offensive on traditional Mayan culture. The key is understanding the changing relationship between the phony count - which has power through its followers - and the True Count. With this key to interpreting the changing relationship between the Dreamspell count and the True Count of days, we have a means of anticipating and exposing the ritual effect of the Dreamspell agenda. This brief document is intended to point the way, expose falsehood, restore truth, and protect dignity. The Maya have endured much over the centuries since the conquest, beyond our imagining. They've endured tenfold that suffering in the last 16 years what with dominator culture institutionalizing genocide, and now they must deal with a ritual interference pattern levelled at them from a realm beyond their control. The day-gods can't be heard as clearly as they used to. The ancestors' voices are faint. It is harder to feel the lightning in the blood, to read the subtleties in each day's face. They feel they must do more ceremonies, yet the fire is dimming. Well intentioned game players to the north, happily dreaming under Itzam Ye's spell, should think about who wins, and who loses.

Listen to the Maya
Hear them count the days
Voicing for the Mother's good
Tracking, tracing ancient patterns
From where the Mother-Father stood
Passing through this bottle neck
When the birth canal is brimming
Filled with future, ancient lore
Seek to open out to spirit
Ride the wave
Galactic Core

Listen to the wise man spew
follow errand of the fool
listen to him fascinate
make you think that he is great
Then the bidding you will do
barter till your brain is blue
Count the days with Itzam Ye
Until the Maya fall away
Then the path is just for you
only for the chosen few
Wrapped in glittery ornaments
don't matter if it make no sense
You want to see reflected there
image spill for all to share
and steal a little blood to drink
don't matter if you do not think
Just take it to the very end
When nothing's left
to defend
