South African Wall Relief Imagery
by Simon Gerrard

Introduction

Regular readers will by now be aware of contributions of mine in this and other issues of the magazine, in which I describe tangible ancient and modern examples of imagery within a theme generally described as ' alien '. Other commentators go further and state this is a direct example of ancient and modern intervention in humanity which still continues today affecting our very material, emotional and spiritual selves This issue's contribution builds on my conclusions thus far and, I believe, reflects the global implications of the scale of this alien intervention.

This stone wall-relief museum exhibit from ancient South Africa significantly and extensively reflects the imagery of the Egyptian Pottery Shard analysis in an earlier issue; South American Indian stone analyses of the Nascas and Mayans echo this too. Essentially, we have the same collection of reptile and canine deities arrayed together with the token classic ' Adamic Man ' in head-profile : elongated face and jaw; wide brow and small cranium with large ears - and always with a sombre expression. Trio-images are popular, with a variety of identities in the groups. The usual maternal and ' pedigree ' sub-text is represented by various natal images of human / alien parenthood, second only to the colonialistic / hierarchical presentation of the main characters. Preceeding the procreation images is a unique and yet consistent portrayal of a a lizard-type entity in , I suggest, some sort of laboratory. Occaisionally, a microscope-type device is displayed being utilised for some - as yet - undefined and unknown purpose.

Interestingly, these salient items of equipment often seem to be mimiced as ornaments and decor by the ancient human members of the various civilisations cited so far - consider the Mayan warrior head-dress styled, I suggest, on the above mentioned microscope upper casing . As simple as it appears at face value, this image is one of the clues or keys to deciphering the main images discovered here, for example. Always, always, these signal images are hidden or blended into those immediately apparent to us modern humans. They are constructed out of seemingly random topographical features and fissures, and they can only be found sometimes by rotating the item in question thro different sequential angles. Thus one image facilitates up to three others in as many rotational perspectives ! The technical artistic competency required to achieve this style of overt / covert presentation is truly amazing - and this from ancient folk ostensibly considered backward by us ! If this sort of massive and powerful intervention in our human affairs did take place, then perhaps it is not surprising these interlopers literally left such a mark on humans and the earth.

So just what was it our forebears knew, and set out to tell us all about ?

[ Some of the pictures have had their contrasts reversed to aid verification. Any home PC bitmap facility will facilitate this for you. There are many, many more images awaiting discovery by this process. I submit that I have located the main ones for you the viewer. This is a suitable opportunity to put my research to the test. You have the original photo : download it as a bitmap and see if you can locate what I have. Don't take my word for all this - try it yourself. I positively welcome any independent opinions from readers - positive or negative - since I've been doing all the talking thus far !]

Sincerely yours, Simon Gerrard.
