What The American aristocracy Does Not Want You To Know
Three Cheers for Gun Control
Virtually all positions taken by gun control advocates can be shown to be false. "Research findings" of medical doctors, frequently cited in the press and by government officials, can be shown to be fabrications. Gun control is not about reducing crime or increasing public safety. Consider the following:
A comparison of violent crime rates of Washington, D.C. and Arlington, Virginia, clearly demonstrate that having restrictive gun control laws do not reduce crime. Washington D.C. has complete firearms prohibition. No private citizen can legally own a gun in Washington D.C. and, yet, they have about 12 murders each week. Arlington, Virginia is located across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. and the two cities are connected by a metro rail system. In the time it takes to drive to a gun store, make a purchase, and drive home, law abiding Arlington citizens can purchase any type of firearm, except a machine gun, but including semi-automatic assault rifles. Many Arlington citizens legally carry concealed handguns in public places on a daily basis. Arlington has about the same number of murders per year (12) that Washington, D.C. has in a week.
Gun control advocates often point to the low crime rates in countries that restrict or prohibit firearms ownership. Their position is that these countries reduced their crime rate through gun control laws. This position can be shown to be false. These countries had low crime rates before their gun control laws were passed. In fact, crime rates often increase after gun control laws are enacted. For example, a few years ago Australia passed very restrictive firearms laws. Since these laws were enacted, the Australian violent crime rate has gone up dramatically. Of course, none of this has been reported in the American mainstream media.
A great deal more information is available that exposes gun control fallacies.
What Is It They Don't Want You To Know?
The American media and government portray the gun control debate as being the sophisticated and educated against "redneck, trailer trash." What they do not want you to know is that our republican system of government is based on a 2,600-year framework of thinking that began with Aristotle.
The republican model of government (our system of government) includes:
- A government established by "the people."
- "The people" are sovereign over government.
· A system of government based on balances of power. Balancing factors include limited federal and state governments, limited power among branches of federal and state governments, government officials elected for limited terms, and an armed citizenry capable of overthrowing tyrannical government.
- "The people" are always armed.
- The armed people provide a check against government encroachment of individual rights, government tyranny, and lawless attacks by criminals that government cannot prevent.
- Only by being armed, can "the people" maintain sovereignty over necessary, but limited government. If government becomes excessively repressive, "the people" are justified in using their arms to overthrow the government and create a new one. Under our model of government and in the thinking of the Founding Fathers, we are either armed or we are slaves.
Two other systems of government have evolved. They are the elite ruler model and the parliamentary oligarchy model. Nearly all governments in the world today are based on the elite ruler model, or the parliamentary oligarchy model.
The elite ruler model and the parliamentary oligarchy model include:
- A government established and controlled by the elite ruler and his or her family, or a government controlled by an elite aristocracy who control parliament.
- The elite ruler or parliament is sovereign over "the people."
- The elite ruler and his or her family, or the elite aristocracy are a part of and control an armed military class.
- "The people" are not armed. Government controls all arms. The only access "the people" have to arms is when government provides them during a national emergency too great to be handled by the armed military class. It is not uncommon for rulers to hire mercenaries instead of arming "the people" during such emergencies, fearing doing so would result in a revolution. In today's world, United Nations troops often fulfill the mercenary role, suppressing uprisings by repressed people.
- Government controls the media.
- "The people" are "subjects," not citizens and depend on the goodness of the wealthy elite and armed military classes to govern them wisely and benevolently. The amount of goodness varies considerably in such governments today.
It is clear that the elite ruler and parliamentary oligarchies control wealth and power in their countries. These systems of government are designed to protect and perpetuate the wealth and money making capabilities of those in power. "The people" are kept in a state of poverty so that they can work for low wages. In elite ruler countries, "the people" have no political power. In parliamentary oligarchies, "the people" vote for some government representatives, but with media control and rigged elections, they have little, if any real power.
American Big Business Interests and Repressive Governments
American business interests have discovered the financial value of having work done by the repressed, poorly educated people of other countries. These people are kept in a state of poverty, maintaining the availability of cheap labor. The greatest percentage of money involved in business transactions with American big business goes to big business interests, and government and military officials. These individuals spend most of their money out of their country, purchasing Mercedes Benz cars and other high cost items. They also hoard their wealth in foreign bank accounts. That is to say, the money flows out of their country and does not go to developing the economy of their own country. The money is not used for the benefit of "the people." This accounts for cities like Jakarta, Indonesia, having traffic jams involving expensive cars and yet "the people" are extremely poor. Of course, "the people" are disarmed and have little, if any power over their governments.
The Gun Control Equation
Gun control is not about reducing crime and increasing public safety. This can be clearly demonstrated by defensible research findings.
American big business interests promote gun control.
American big business interests own the American media. The American media supports gun control even when the information they print can be shown to be false.
American public schools do not teach our children about the fundament aspects of our republican system of government, particularly the important role of an armed citizenry. American big business interests write, print, and publish school textbooks.
American big business interests have a great deal of influence over our government representatives. Most government representatives, even those who claim to support the Second Amendment, support gun control one way or the other. Half-hearted efforts to "reform" election laws in the United States are an effort to keep us from drifting more closely to becoming an "oligarchy."
An Informed and Involved People
Only an informed and involved people can reverse the gun control and political repression trend. Under our model of government and in the thinking of the Founding Fathers, we are either armed or we are slaves. We will soon be slaves, if we do not better educate ourselves about these issues and find ways to regain influence over our government representatives.
