"In the Beginning Was The Word ..."
by Eileen Lilly

These words run frequently through my mind, representing as they do the fact that at some point there was nothing material in existence. No planets - no stars - no living beings of any kind other than that which we call God. I doubt that anyone on this planet will ever fully be able to understand this concept of God, or First Cause, as it is sometimes called. But, if we accept the premise that nothing existed in the universe except for the being we call God, then everything that exists now had to come from and be a part of that being, if that was all that existed. We are, therefore, all a part of that essence and possess at least some of the same attributes in some part of our existence.

That means everything on this planet and on all other planets is a part of God.

The force we have named God is therefore somehow splintered in its desire to manifest all beings and matter, the reason for which we are still in the process of learning. This force rightfully calls back all the parts of itself, now existing in the splintered state. I look at this force as a bipolar one, consisting of positive and negative attractions--all of which must be balanced before it can properly come back to itself.

I feel that is what we are now doing, or attempting to do--balance the energies so that we may return to our home.

Our thoughts and words are, by their own physical nature, vibratory and creative, just as everything on the material plane has a vibratory rate. That means all thoughts and words--not just the ones we deliberately focus on when we are trying to manifest something on the physical level. But everything we think, everything we say, imprints itself on the ether by vibration, and manifests in some form or another in front of us. Our job, as I see it, is to realize this and use our thoughts and words as our most precious possessions, which determine our fate and our existence on this planet. If used carelessly, they bring back what has been created carelessly.

There is no possibility that any of the parts of God will be lost. How could they be? But some parts take longer than others to balance out. Therefore, seeing everyone as being properly balanced and in tune with the universe is the magic needed to get us into this state. Seeing a perfect world despite the imperfections that may manifest in front of our eyes is sometimes difficult; however, this is what is needed--seeing the end result. Reacting to the situations we do not want or like is a knee-jerk reflex. Training our minds to see the ending we wish is difficult and can stretch our basic beliefs, which are usually based on either past experience or society's training of our minds. This does not mean we set out to manipulate other humans, but rather that we see the goal of perfection in situations, rather than human imperfections. I do not believe it is ever morally correct to try to manipulate another's mind in any way. But by the same token, is it morally correct to see a wrong and then ignore it under the guise of letting everyone use his or her own "free will?" I think not. It is a fine line, but we are learning. Prayer and meditation certainly play a large part in all of this, as there are times when we all need guidance.

To ignore this challenge is to put ourselves at the mercy of the vibrations created by others, and also ignores our God-given abilities. To my way of thinking, there can be no greater sin of omission than to do this. We must use our minds and our speech deliberately, consciously and continuously to balance and create, never to manipulate. Doing this requires an honest examination of our own beliefs, as well as the mores imprinted by society, as these play a large part in what we can and cannot do. We don't deserve to be sad or poor or neglected. We don't have to accept what we see around us. What we see is only something which was manifested in the past. We can change it and make our future what we want it to be. If something happens we don't like, remember it is something from the past, and not something that has to be in our future. We have been taught that we make things on the physical plane through material means. This is a basic tenet of society as it keeps the money flowing. We have never been taught any other way. The mind is an unexplored world where basic needs are met. We really do not need anything else. This is the gift given to us to use as we will. So far, we have been trained to believe that there are only a few truly gifted people on the planet, and the rest of us must work and sweat for the situations we want, and fight to protect what we have. We can change this. All we have to do is prove it to ourselves; so we start with the small things that really don't matter a lot, and prove that we do indeed possess the ability to create.

This planet is our litmus test for how we are doing. We only need to look around to see the results of how we've done. Our past creations on the mental plane are right in front of our eyes. What we've created in the past is our now. What we create in our now is our future. Believe.
